About the event
We're officially launching the 2020 sailing season on Sunday May 17 with an Around The Lake fun sail. It's not officially a race - it's more of a chase. Get your boat rigged and in the water, sail a holding pattern close to the launch ramp, and we'll run an audible start sequence at 1:30pm. The course will be just like Transjac - one lap up and down the lake and then finish back at the ramp. It'll be a fun day on the water with lots of boats out. Sail as hard or as easy as you like and we'll have the Jon Boat out to provide assistance if needed. All sailors are encouraged to carry handheld VHF radios on board to monitor channel 72 for information and assistance requests. All sailors are encouraged to run RaceQs on board for course tracking and comparative analysis of your fellow sailors.
